New Entrants

Admissions to Blean Primary School for children due to start school in September and join our Reception classes are administered by the Local Authority. Applications must be submitted online by parents during the period of November to January. Further information on the arrangements for entry to primary school can be found on the KCC website.

After you have applied for a place you will be informed by the Local Authority of their decision. Information on how to accept the offered place or appeal the decision is included with the notification letter. Parents who wish to accept the place at Blean Primary School must provide evidence confirming their address (e.g. utility bill dated from the last three months, a council tax bill or water bill), their child’s proof of address (e.g. doctors letter, Red book or Child Tax credit letter) and their child’s date of birth (birth certificate).

Once all places at our school have been allocated by the Local Authority, we will then contact parents with the necessary information to begin the admission process and ensure a smooth transition for your child. Children in our Reception classes follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework. This lays a secure foundation for future learning that is planned around the individual needs and interests of the child. We are committed, at Blean Primary School, to providing your child with the best start and highest quality of education.
